In an ideal situation, you would have at least 2 acres where you could keep your horse outside 24/7 where he can eat and sleep as he pleased. However, many horses manage in one acre or less when they are suplemented in plain grass hay. This should be left where a horse has access to it 24/7, preferably spread out around his pasture.

Although it varies, i would suggest at least an acre for a pasture, if they are free-grazing horses. This will give them ample grass to eat. But also make sure to throw good grass seed down every spring.

depends on your zoning. you could put him in a stall and then only need 150ft2 which is like a 12x12 box but you would have to regularly exercise/ at least turn out.
