Tail docking in Jack Russells typically involves removing a portion of the tail, usually about one-third to one-half of its length. The practice is often performed for cosmetic reasons or to adhere to breed standards. However, it is important to note that tail docking is controversial and regulated or banned in many countries due to animal welfare concerns. Always consult local regulations and veterinary advice regarding this practice.

Because they get cut off when they're 1-2 days old.
It is a matter of preference. Some people prefer the tails and ears cropped and some do not. What is "cute" to some may be ugly to others.

Yes, you can, it's a good thing, (if you want to) to get the puppies tail cropped at an early age! because it's soft with new tissue. But when they're older, the tissue underneath the skin is hardened, and not recommendable for cropping!
i have a 9 week old wire haired jrt with a very curly tail, almost like a Japanese akita tail haha, i also have a 5 month old smooth haired jrt with a straight tail, so in my opinion i think it just depends on the pups lol and the breeding

When you use a tail jack, you use the weight of the tail to help stabilize and lift the rear of the aircraft. This tool is essential for maintenance tasks, allowing mechanics to safely access the tail section without risking instability. Properly using the tail jack ensures that the aircraft remains balanced and secure during servicing.
I own and used to breed min pins so know the answer to this very well. Tails and dewclaws should be done no later than 3 days old. If it hasn't been done and your dog is older, check with your vet. It may be too late. You also need to ask yourself why you want the tail docked and if it is that important to you, why did you get a dog that's tail is not docked? Ideally it should be done at 3 mos. However I have personally had a Min Pins ears cropped as late as 1.5 years of age and they stood fine. I owned a Min Pin in the 1960s and his tail at 6 weeks was already cropped. I didn't have his ears done simply because I don't believe in this cruel fashion and no one can say it isn't cruel. It's all in the name of the breeder and showing off the dog. How would you like your tail bone cropped and your ears cropped, stitched and dipped in brandy?

This detail is included to paint a vivid picture of the horse pulling the sleigh in the winter scene described in the song.
