This depends on the individual cat. The amount of food given depends on how active the cat is, how large it is and what quality of food is like. Lower quality foods with very little meat and lots of filler such as Corn, Rice, Wheat and other Cereals will need to be fed in much higher amounts than a high quality food which is grain free and has a high meat content.

As a (very) general rule, an average 4kg cat only needs 200g of good quality wet food per day, much less if fed dry food.

The only way to find out how much you should feed your cat, is to weigh the cat every week or so to see if the cat's weight has changed at all, and alter the amount of food accordingly.
