It depends on sire & dam, if it gated, trained well, & just its over all heritage. Some times it does not matter of the color, its how well bred it is. A very well bred, trained horse can cost up to $15,000 dollars. I have just learned that Tortilas the horse from dressage in the FEI Wold Equestrian Games, Is appraised at $2,347,000. So it just matters what the heritage of the horse is & how well its trained. I have an Appaloosa that I got as a foal, that has a little Thoroughbred it him, I got him for $200. Again it just matters on the heritage & training. My foal had no training what so ever and a little bit of a mix in his breeding, so that is why I got him so cheap. I got my paint for $5,500. He is gated, purebred, & is trained in everything thinkable. You get it now....
