Need a lot more information from you before I can give you much of an answer. J. Stevens started making firearms in 1865 (or was it 68 - I'm away from my references right now) until 1915. Then the name was brought back in 1920 as a division of Savage and retired in 1991. And in 1997 it was revived again. So a Stevens .22 could be brand new or 140 years old.
