If you find an accident after it has occurred never punish your puppy, they will not understand what they are being punished for, no matter how sorrowful they look. Simply clean up every accident with a cleaner specially made to remove the smell (remember, dogs return to eliminate in areas that smell like urine) and work harder to prevent the next accident!
