The tallest breed of horse is the Shire horse, which comes from England in the UK (Great Britain). it all depends on how tall the parents are. some of the best thoroughbreds were 15 hands. some of the biggest qh were 17 hands. anywhere from 15 to 17 hands would be my approximation

Most all healthy horses can jump. But the best breeds would be Hanovarian, Warmblood, and other tall breeds with thick, strong legs. Never jump an overweight, lame, immature, or injured horse. It all depends on your horse's heath.
