How to know when your bull terrier is in labor?

A bitch will look for dark/private places to nest, and at the onset of labour will be restless, panting and may engage in digging activity. If you have a garden, she may want to go out all the time to dig, and may drop a pup out there. If you can, stay with the digging, as it is thought to aid contractions.

The first tell tale sign is the bitch will stop showing any interest in food. Her temp will drop a degree or two. That will tell you it will be within the next 24 hours. She will begin nesting, digging aggresively. Panting (very fast) and shaking are signs that she is very close.

The dog probably won't want to eat, will go someplace to hide (under your bed, ect.),shivering and sickness (your dog will vomit, shiver, ect.), and will always want to be near you. She will be laying down, panting and contracting her lower body.

She should have been pacing earlier on for a place that would be suitable for her puppies to be born in.
