this depends on the owner, i myself have a pit bull golden labrador retriever mix and he behaves just fine with a little discipline like water being sprayed at him if he does something bad, and a firm voice to show dominance. The only problem i ever had out of him was pulling on walks, which was fixed easily and painlessly with a dog lead, and he liked to get into the trash can. My dog is now a year old and does not enter my kitchen, pull on walks, or jump on the furniture without being invited up. If you are a good owner, and a patient person then the dog will be well balanced. However, if you are a bad owner and mistreat the dog it will be likely to turn on you, or even attack others.
A staff lab cross, or a mongeral. I own a lab x staffie. He's gorgeous!
Yes as the Labrador may be bigger, but the bull terrier is stronger in the jaw, skin and has a muscly body for protection, so the Labrador may be a big dog but the bull terrier was meant for fighting.

Pound for pound, Staffordshires are the stronger breed. That being said, they are considerably smaller than Labs, so their size may work to their disadvantage
The sunny, smart, and hard-working Labrador Retriever is America's favorite dog. The Labrador Retriever was bred to be both a friendly companion and a useful working dog. and staffordshire bull terriers, are kind of dull, but smart, more of a lazy couch patato, it hasn't been found, to be very popular, because it likes to sleep alot. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier, was bred to be a guard dog, and to be a lap dog, friendly, but not as useful as the Labrador!

If you use the correct categorization pit bull is a Staffordshire Terrier, an American Staffordshire Terrier, or an American Pit Bull Terrier. However, any dog with a bull-terrier type body is stated to be a pit bull, including any bull dog mixed with many of the terriers or molossers, or any mixed of those with most other breeds. For example, an American Bulldog/Great Dane mix would be generally considered to be a pit bull. If that dog was bred with a Labrador Retriever their litter pups would also be considered pit bulls.
