if you don't want hundreds of hamsters in a year, than yes, that would be smart.
AnswerAfter 3 weeks you should separate the males into one cage and females into another. Try to sell them (if that i your purpose) as soon as you can or separate cages if you intend to keep them because Teddy Bears don't like companionship. Don't leave girls with mother or boys with father.Kayti xx
Yes.
When you notice that they can do things on their own (which is in about 2 weeks after their born). But you do have to separate the males from the females.
From 1 to 5 babies.
Yes I did. The babies look awesome.
It is rare for father teddy bear hamsters to eat their babies, but it can happen if they feel stressed or threatened. Providing a calm and secure environment for the hamster family can help prevent this behavior.

No. What ever you do do not seperate the mom and her babies they will die almost imediately!
Sadly, male hamster can never return to the female, unless you want them to mate again. If so wait until all the babies are put in separate cages (when 4 weeks old) then I'm pretty sure you can put the father with the mother to mate again. This is the only time they can be together any other time they will fight and will end not well.
