Is Mila from the book the music of dolphins real?

The story from The Music of Dolphins is about a little girl named Mila who was lost at see when 4 years old.She lived with dolphins learning their ways and doing what they do to be like them.She doesn't swim,dive,or reflect fats like them but she still keeps up.She was found when going to the shore to get a drink up by the bay when a helicopter flies down capturing her and rapping her in a blanket so she isn't bare and brings her to the hospital.She doesn't remember anything what humans and so doesn't know what is happening.She is now learning the human world of eating,drinking,playing,listening, and many other things.This story is based on something true that happened a long time ago.I haven't finished the book, but enough to realize that the printing is unique because in the beginning of the book it's big words,but a couple chapters after it's small, and i realized it's because the big printing is the intro and it's like how she sees everything and how simple the it is.The smaller print is because it's not the intro so it's her speaking and it's more difficult/
