The world record holder is a great dane, but he is 7 feet tall on his back legs. Most Great Danes aren't as big.

But the Irish Wolf hound is the tallest dog at the shoulders.

And ST. Bernard is the biggest dog in weight.

no but close. I believe the fastest breed is a greyhound

Not really, in terms of survival and resistance, i guess the working dogs and herding dogs are much stronger for eg : German shepherd and a Rottweiler
