I dont want to get into it with all the pit bull owners but two vets now have told me that bull terriers have more bite force than pit bulls. This topic only came about as I lived in a country where an english bull terrier (and pit bulls ) were considered a potentially dangerous dog and you had to get a liscence to own one. I dont really give a fu ck because as a dog owner I go for character rather then how hard my dog can bite.
And they did try to fight bull terriers againts pit bulls years ago but the bull terrier was no good in the pit as it lacked the killer instinct.
And I own a bull terrier and have to say that they are the best breed of dog that I have ever owned as they are sooo loving and foolish. They make you laugh so much and are excellent with kids.
Peace
No, they are not the same. the American bulldog, like the English and french bulldog, is from the bulldog family. the American pittbull terrier is from the terrier family like the jack Russel.
The genus of an English Bulldog is the same as all dogs; Canis.
The breed is The American Pit Bull Terrier. Some people shorten the breed's name but it is the same thing.
There is non. Both are the same breed of dog.
Not the same kind of breed stock.
The pit bull is a non-official separate breed - to get pit bull puppies you breed two pit bulls together. However, there is no AKC registration available for this breed (currently) as it is not recognized as a separate breed.
Animalia- All dogs no matter the breed share the same kingdom.
Yes, although they are bred to a slightly different breed standard, they are the same breed (unless you are thinking of the American Bulldog which is different). The only real noticeable difference between English and American-born Boxers is that in America most Boxers are cropped and docked for show - which is illegal in England.
Those dogs come from the same ancestors but the bull dogs are larger so there must be a difference.

The word is phylum in the scientific classication which is chordata. All dogs no matter the breed, share the same phylum.
You will get the same breed you started with an American Pitbull Terrier. If you are referring to what color you would get, then you should look at a breeding color chart. Breeding for color in a pitbull or any breed is not responsible. You should also consider things such as family ancestory, and defects within each dog. But if both are good solid lines, then breed away. Just make sure you know what you are doing, and make sure you are making a positive impact to the breed.
