Horses. ( I think...)
No. Horses are hind-gut fermentors. They have a monogastric (single-chambered stomach), but a very large cecum where the small intestine joins onto the large intestine. This is where most of the fermentation takes place.
Fats are digested in the small intestine.
Horses don't get flounder, they get founder.
Yes horses move with there legs . If they brake a leg or twist it then they can't move at all.
Founder is NOT a loss of sight. It is damage to the laminae between a horses hoof wall and the rest of the hoof structure caused by inflammation in the horses foot. It is also called laminitis.
Never use Walnut Shavings around horses. They will cause life threatening founder.
