If your existing dog already has separation anxiety, it MAY help to get another dog. See if you can borrow a neighbor's dog to come over for the day and see how your dog reacts. YOu can also try doggy daycare. However, with most dogs it doesn't seem to help that much. In addition, if your first dog is not trained, you now have 2 dogs to worry about. I would not recommend purchasing a second dog simply because your first dog has separation anxiety.
If you considering purchasing 2 puppies/dogs at the same time I would also be very careful. Despite having to do twice the training, 2 puppies often bond a lot to each other. This sounds like a good thing in that they are less likely to have separation anxiety when you leave, however they often bond so much with each other that they have bad anxiety when they are separated. If you do decide to get 2 puppies at the same time, then make sure you separate them a lot so their bond is primarily to you and not each other.
A dog separation anxiety vest can help alleviate symptoms of separation anxiety in dogs by providing a sense of security and comfort through gentle pressure. This can help reduce stress and anxiety levels, promote relaxation, and improve overall well-being for the dog.

Young puppies generally aren't used to being alone and may be scared. This is called separation anxiety, and can happen when they are separated from both other dogs and humans. Often, this can be helped by having a short period of alone time each day as puppies, so when they get older they are more used to being alone or separated from others for periods of time.
yes being a owner of two they will bark and howl and other stuff it is just natural to any dogs. puppies have this problem more because they are young. most pugs grow out of it a 1 year old but it varys with the dog.
Common signs and symptoms of sudden separation anxiety in dogs include excessive barking or howling, destructive behavior, pacing or restlessness, house soiling, and attempts to escape. Other signs may include drooling, panting, and following their owner around excessively.
Anxiety vests for dogs can provide a sense of security and comfort, helping to reduce anxiety and stress levels. The gentle pressure applied by the vest can have a calming effect on the nervous system, promoting relaxation and reducing anxious behaviors. Additionally, anxiety vests can help dogs cope with stressful situations such as thunderstorms, fireworks, or separation anxiety, allowing them to feel more at ease and secure.
Dogs can get anxious at night due to a variety of reasons, such as fear of the dark, separation anxiety from their owners, or sensitivity to noises and disturbances during the night. It is important to provide a comfortable and secure environment for your dog to help alleviate their anxiety.
