Food-
If you have got alot of grass near by you can just leave them out to graze but not for 2 long else they could get collic... If you dont have grass near by you could go 2 a pet shop and get some horse food from there...
Stable-
iF you can get some hay and shavings place it down on the bed hay and shavings are cheap...

They will be plenty of sales in The Shetland Times or you can phone a farm and ask if they are selling. Its pretty easy aswell they are pretty cheap. The Shetland Times has a website so you can look on that too.
I do believe that the Dartmoor pony is more rare than the Shetland pony.

That is a matter of oppinion. Of course the full name of the Shetland is the Shetland Pony. A pony is any horse under 14 hands. This could be just about any breed, wheras, the shetland is just one breed.
I don't know but the Shetland pony is named after the Shetland island
