You know, I don't really know, but I really wouldn't try it. Sometimes when puppies eat foo they are not used to eating, they can get an upset tummy. I think that dry food is better for your puppy, but if it is under like 7 weeks old, then you need to feed wet food. I am not an expert, so if you really want to see what you should do, go to the vet and see. But what I told you, is what I usually hear.
8 weeks old are over, purina puppy or dog chow 24/7 and cesar's wet food one pack a day
Depends on the age of the puppy. If the puppy is under 6 weeks of age then wetting the food may be necessary. If the puppy is over 8 weeks of age then wetting the food shouldn't be necessary but may be needed during the puppy's teething stage depending on the number of teeth lost. If the puppy looses quite a few baby teeth near the same period of time. Then wetting the puppy's food to soften it will help ensure that the puppy is able to eat their food properly until the new teeth have come in.
2nd Answer: Always feed your puppy a good name brand of puppy food. Don't feed your puppy cheap store brands. Do NOT feed crap such as mentioned below in the first answer. Your pup will stay healthy while on a good name brand puppy food such as Natural Choice puppy food or something in that category. Read the ingredients on the dog food label. You want to see things such as lamb or chicken "meal" NOT lamb or chicken BY PRODUCTS. You also do not wish to see things like wheat or soy or other fillers. The "By Products" are parts from the animal that are bad to eat, such as the hooves, beaks, feathers, etc. If it says "Meal" then it is from the good parts of the animal. 1st Answer: salami, pepperoni, and cheese.
Good quality dry puppy food is excellent because it contains all the nutrients required and pups can experiment with it as they grow. Small quantities can be made available at all times with less risk of contamination than wet food poses. Unwanted bacteria is the last thing you need around a litter of pups and their lactating dam. Quality dry food is also good for your puppies' developing teeth and offers them the opportunity to chew as they feel the need. The lactating bitch will eat it too, and it's good for her at this time.
