No it's very legal there isn't a law against it or anything. But people dock the tail so that can enter their Schnauzers in dog show and such. I think it should be illegal because how would someone like it if someone cut of part of their leg or something?
You don't dock a puppys tail, it's illegal and cruel. And it's animal cruelty to remove its claws
Malta is a country that is located in southern Europe. It has not signed the European Convention for the Protection of Pet Animals treaty however which makes it illegal to dock a dogs tail. It is therefore legal to dock a rotty tail there.
i just paid $5 a pup for my mini schnauzer pups and that includes dew claws too at our local vet.
Get a dull butter knife and start whittling. What a dumb question! Take them to a vet and pay $8 and forget about it.
Because they are ignorant and cruel. The ONLY reasons you can 'Dock' a dogs tail in the UK are for either Medical reasons, or if the dog is a working animal, and there is a risk of it being injured if it has a tail.Any other reason is illegal, and is as already stated Ignorant and cruel!Any Schnauzer Mini, Standard or Giant, look beautiful with a full tail, which is very expressive!

I don't think it is absolutely necessary Our Schnauzer does not have her ears cut, but she does have her tail cut, so I don't know about that! If you want to show your Schnauzer then you do have to cut the ears and tail.
the dock is the tail... the hair is the tail the soild bit its attched to (which is quite short) is the dock.
if its small enough
