It is ok. When you start training a dog to pull weight, a heavy weight from the begining is not good. You should start with a light weight and work it from there.
Update: I finally found a link to put in this question in the related links box below.
How much a pitbull can pull will vary greatly depending on his or her size and weight and conditioning. On average, a dog can easily pull 3 times his or her weight on wheels.
A typical Pitbull can pull about 2 times its body weight. Despite their strength, they are not built to pull heavy loads like sled dogs.
i sean pull and pitbull brothers no seanpual is amckin

The biggest pitbull dogs weight about 75 pound most. If you see or hear about a pitbull larger than that, I guarate you that this dog is not a real pitbull. I have seen pictures of bullies weighing more than a 100 pounds.
feed him good but excersice him.
pitbulls weight from 20 to 75 pounds.
The average American pitbull terrior can weigh between 22 and 78 pounds. However, the proportion of weight to the height of the dog is more important than simply its weight alone.
