yes, but make sure you have a big enough cage (double size). Also, only put females and females together. Males will fight. And male and female, you will have a whole bunch of pups (the word for a baby guinea pig)
Yes, i bought one Guinea pig and added another around the same time, and they get along great.
Sure! I have 3 males in one cage right now! The squabble some but they can get along fine!
We did this with our guinea pigs, when they are about a few months old start showing the guinea pigs one another then gradually let them meet, once they meet every day and have no problems with eachother they can live together. They might start fighting for their territory so keep a close eye on them.
If the cage is too small take it back and get a new one! Never get anything hamster for a guinea pig. If you have a small cage then that means you got a hamster cage.
not necessarily; if you leave one guinea pig in the cage with the sick guinea pig, the guinea pig that is not sick can get sick; you should separate them just to be safe but if the guinea pigs start to get lonely, put them back together
You might see the guinea pig look around the cage and call for it. Whenever I take my guinea pigs apart the one that's still in the cage looks all around the cage and if he doesn't see the other guinea pig he starts squeaking.
Yes, if they are neutered. Some people do this and the animals groom one another.
Yes! It is alright to cage them seperatly but guinea pigs love company and may get lonely. 3 is the best number of guinea pigs to keep in one large cage so that way if one cage mate dies, the others will not miss it so terribly as if it were the only one.
Yes! Most guinea pigs love to be together and will be happier and livelier. Just make sure that the cage is big enough, and that the guinea pigs are the same sex.
Most likely because they may not like their cage or was enjoying what they were doing... unless you can get in a guinea pigs mind no one really knows why.
If you take it on holiday it won't like it because guinea pig's don't like to move from one home to another so if any one is staying at home then leave it with them on the other hand if not then you have to take them IN A CAGE
Put one in a different cage
