It's not a good idea to let your dog chew on any cooked bone -- pork, beef, lamb, chicken and so on. It could damage his teeth, or he could swallow a bone splinter and damage his intestines, perhaps putting his life in danger. However, it is all right to let dogs eat a small amount of cooked cartilage, since their teeth are built to handle it. You'll see processed cartilage in canned dog foods; it looks like Gelatin. Be aware that some vets think that pork is not an acceptable food for dogs.
