Yes, there are ligers. The Liger is a hybrid cross between a male lion and a female tiger (i.e, Panthera leo × Panthera tigris). A liger resembles a lion with diffused stripes. They are the largest cats in the world, although the Siberian Tiger is the largest "pure" taxon. Ligers and tigers enjoy swimming, whereas lions do not. A similar hybrid, the offspring of a male tiger and a female lion is called a tigon.

Big cats, similarly to different breeds of dogs, can be cross bred. It is not something that has been documented as a natural occurence, but something forced by man.

yes because a lion and tiger can have a baby. It's not impossible but it's not common either.
