Your dog's breath spray is formulated to address the specific causes of bad breath in dogs and whatever mint you add may not work well with the ingredients already in the breath spray. Also, depending upon the mint product itself, this may be toxic to dogs, even if it is safe for humans.

If your dog truly has rotten breath and not just normal-dog breath, I would suggest a visit to the veterinarian for an oral exam. There are several known causes of rotten breath smells, including abscessed or infected teeth, that can be fixed by your veterinarian.
