First of all you need to know what types of worms your dog has. Take a fecal sample to your Veterinarian and have it checked. Make sure you are using a dewormer for all types of internal parasites including the tapeworms. Use something like Worm X, can be found in the larger Pet Stores or Feed Stores. Give first dose, and then repeat in 10-12 days a second dose. Make sure the dewormer says it will take care of tapeworms too along with all the others such as roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, etc. Take another fecal sample into your Veterinarian about a month after the last deworming to see if clear.
Don't forget about preventing Heartworm in your Pet. Talk to your Vet about that as your pet would need to be tested first (a simple blood test) before putting them on a once a month heartworm preventative year around.
You use a dose with medicine. For example; I need to take a dose of my medicine before i go to bed.
Would you take dog medicine? Ask your vet. Some people medicine can kill dogs.
