They are not perfect first time dogs,but if you do a lot of research BEFORE you take the puppy Home and fully commit to his training everything will be fine.They are great dogs but need a very firm hand in raising (dont hit him but show him that you are the boss) and a ton of socialisation with other dogs and humans. They are not for everyone and they can be the best dogs Ever but they can also be your worst nightmare.Think wisely and good luck
