Is the Tonkinese a good outdoor cat?

Yes and no. My Maine Coon's love going outside but they have very long fur so we have to brush them a lot to get the dirt and other such things out of their fur. It's hard for them to keep their coat clean when they spend a lot of times outside, for the most part.

Not really. Absynnians like to stay inside where they know they are safe. Thast's usually why they like to cuddle you but if you let them outside from when they are babies they may get used to the idea of it.

No. Since they are such curious, playful and outgoing cats, they get hit by cars even more than most other cats, and get stolen very frequently (everyone can see this is a special - and expensive - cat). Tonks (and most cats) are more than happy staying indoors if they have a companion. And if you really want to let it outside, keep it on a leash or secure your garden. Most breeders only sell kittens to people who keep all this in mind, and rightfully so!
