The Whippet.

yes Although over very short distances (e.g. 50 yards) the whippet may be faster.
Greyhound then comes the whippet If you mean fattest then it could be any dog that is not fed a good diet or is over fed. If you mean biggest I would have to say and Old English Matiff because they could top 200 pounds. If in fact you mean the fastest dog then I agree the Greyhound or whippet would be the .
Greyhound or Whippet are slender dogs, but are usually jumpy and uneasy breeds.
Probably Bloodhound? No. The bloodhound, a scent hound, is bred and geared towards recovering and analyzing scent. Speed is not their forte'.The flat out fastest dog in the world, is the greyhound, which has been clocked at 45 mph, with the fastest ever recorded speed being 49.9 mph in Manchester England some 30 years ago. Second would be a tie, depending on who you talk to, between the Afghan and the Saluki, around 41 - 43 mph. Third, and at half the size of the others, is the whippet, with speeds clocked at 35, and a Whippet clocked at 43.1 mph in Spokane Washington is reported, but unconfirmed. The answer is a little complicated. All dog breeds? The Greyhound. Size class, a more fair test? The whippet would be the fastest land animal on earth in it's size class, by a pretty large margin. Hope this helps.
He was bred as a dog for races and for hunting.

Hello there! if your female whippet has traits of a whippet she may be classified as a quarter or even less. when dogs are mated they don't necessarily have to be two pedigree dogs. one dog may have traits of lab for example. check this with your vet they may have more sufficent theories than myself
