No it is not.
But Crude Oil, coal, and Natural Gas are!
Whale oil is not considered a fossil fuel. It is an oil obtained from the blubber of whales and was historically used for lighting and lubrication before it was largely replaced by petroleum-based products.
No.
It is not.
Whale oil is from a currently living animal. Crude oil, coal and natural gas were formed ages ago. Those are considered fossil fuels- whales are not.
yes

Renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydroelectric, and geothermal energy are not considered fossil fuels. These sources come from natural processes that are replenished over time, unlike fossil fuels which are finite and come from ancient organic matter.
Oil is a fossil fuel.
Wood is not a fossil fuel (they are coal, oil and natural gas).
Kerosene is considered a fossil fuel because it is derived from petroleum, which is a fossil fuel. Petroleum is formed over millions of years from the remains of ancient sea organisms. Kerosene is a refined product of crude oil extracted from the ground, making it a fossil fuel.
because whales are living things. not plant material that has been buried underground for several millennia. they did indeed use whale oil as fuel back in the day, but declining numbers of the animal, and political opinion changed that.
Whale oil
