You need to go to the vet straight away and get some Kitten Milk Replacer (KMR), syringes (if they need encouragement to feed), bottles and possibly a few other bits. A vet will also be able to give you advice on how to look after such tiny kittens. This is a TOUGH job.
Kittens will need feeding around the clock. Young kittens will need feeding (and making them go "potty" - kittens can not go to the bathroom on their own until they are around three weeks old. Rub their genitals gently using a damp, warm cloth to stimulate them to go.) every one or two hours. Feeding and cleanliness are imperative. Changing of blankets needs to be done twice a day. Keeping the kittens warm is important. Keep them away from drafty places and provide them with lots of blankets - maybe a hot water bottle underneath layers of blankets or towels.
If possible, it may be worthwhile to find a surrogate mother so she can feed the kittens instead. Kittens so young needmilk, and the best milk will be from a mother cat. Some nursing cats will not mind a few extra mouths if she has too much milk or has lost a litter of her own - she will treat them like her own offspring. This is the best option as she will feed them, clean them and keep them warm and when older, teach them how to socialize properly. There is nothing stopping you taking them back when they reach 8-10 weeks, and by then they would have grown up to be boisterous and playful kittens.
The doe will take about 1-3 hours to give birth to all of her kittens. They are usually born during the night when it is quiet.
Kittens sleep for about 18-20 hours a day, which is more than adult cats.
being to small to live, having an infection, being mudered, and not being fed within a few hours
She should be fed four times a day, about 4-6 hours apart, to maintain her energy levels and properly care for the kittens. It's important to provide her with high-quality kitten food to support her milk production.
Three-month-old kittens typically sleep for about 16-20 hours a day.
Just pick up the dead kitten and get it out of there! A dead animal can cause harm to the rest of the litter and the mother cat.
Pennsylvania classifies an abandoned vehicle as any vehicle that has been left unattended on highway or public property for 48 hours. Vehicles that are left on private property for 24 hours without the property owner's consent are also considered abandoned.
Not sure what time you posted this at, but........ It is possible for cats to go up to a few hours in between giving birth to their kittens, although if it has been over four hours, I would recommend you take her to see a vet. If a kitten spends too long in the birth canal, it can drown. There is also a possibility that what you felt was not another kitten, but perhaps the birth sacs of the two kittens already born. I hope your cat and her babies are doing well!
As long as needed for all the newborn kittens to be born. A cat will usually know when she is done birthing because by that time, she will have settled down and have started the feeding process. Our cat gave birth to 2 kittens at 9pm in the evening, then had a 12 hr gap between them and the next 2 kittens which were delivered at 9am the following morning. She was feeding the original 2 kittens through the night and seemed relaxed. Guess the other 2 were just not ready!Cats usually take 4 - 6 hours to deliver her entire litter though if labor persists over 7 hours they should see a veterinarian.
It usually only takes about 12 hours for worming tablets to work on cats. The actual time will depend on the medication and type of worms.
It sounds like if your cat is pregnant and she is carrying another cat's kittens around she is just exhibiting mothering behavior. It doesn't mean she is in labor, she is just practicing. Most likely when she goes into labor you won't even know it till you find kittens and the mess that goes along with the birth. Have a box ready in a closet or other place she feels is safe and quiet. Cats generally take around 60-70 days from the time they get pregnant to the time they give birth. 24 hours before she gives birth she may leak a milky discharge from her nipples (sometimes cats who have had multiple litters do this earlier in the pregnancy though), and really look as though she is looking around for a safe place. If you know how to keep track of a cat's temperature, normal temperature in cats is between 100.4°F and 102.5° F. If her rectal temperature drops suddenly it is almost positive that she is about to give birth.
At sometimes, it could take anywhere up to 14 hours for the kittens to be born starting from when the water broke. Sometime it takes a very long time for another kitten to come out. Because the mom does need to take a break from pushing and cleaning the kittens. I would not worry because more will come out unless she only had two kittens.
