no the silver fox is pretty much the red fox domesticated.
No, they're not.
It depends on where you are. Check the laws for where you live, I believe the policy for NY is as long as you're not in the city it's allowed if you have the proper permit or licence. You want to make sure you have the proper envirement and necessities for your pet. Also, be aware that other kinds of foxes such as the Arctic, Marbled, Red, and Phenic can be found domesticated.
Mostly foxes are too wild and high strung to domesticated. They are kept in horrible little cage by furriers. I believe you would have to cross breed them with a more domesticated breed to achieve domestication of a fox.
Silver foxes are often called gray or grey foxes.
No, horses and foxes are very different animals, but they have a few things in common. They are both:mammalswarm-bloodedcovered with furhave 4 legshave tailscan be domesticated

they are bred in captivity. they were bred from red foxes to be tame.
Foxes are not domesticated animals. They do not make good pets at all because they never consider you to be a part of their family the way a dog does.
Foxes aren't generally domesticated so yes, they can be. However, ferret foxes may be just as docile as small dogs.

Yes. The Tame Silver Fox is a breed of fox that descended from red foxes bred to be tame during an experiment. A group of people (I cannot remember the exact details) took some red foxes and kept them on a farm type facility, to see if they could be domesticated. They divided them into two groups, one that would have as little contact with humans as possible whilst still being monitored (to keep them wild), and another group that would have as much contact with humans as possible. Not only did they find that they could be domesticated, but they found that along with domestication their coat colour, for some reason, changed. They became silver, and some even became white with silver patches. They can now be bred and owned as pets.
