A capybara, which is indigenous to South America, is the largest living rodent in the world. In Spanish, a capybara is called carpincho, but the name "capybara" is derived from a Greek word which means "water hog." Capybaras are semi-aquatic and come with slightly webbed feet. I've heard of capybaras as pets, because they are gentle animals, but they are also used for food. I've read about capybaras and they remind me of giant guinea pigs, except that guinea pigs do NOT belong in the water, lot.so what do they eat?
