A deer's habitat is in the forest and the wood's. Also some time a the zoo.
i live by the woods that has deer so this comes from experience with deer, i see deer every month or so in the woods, or when I'm driving i see them & i see their tracks almost daily they live in the woods 7 plains of America where they can get food suck as bark, leaves, grass & trigs they typically don't live in the dessert but they do just not as much they live around trees pretty much they are all over the us
That honestly depends on the species of deer, but most inhabit forested areas where water is relatively close by. Most species can also be found near grasslands as they like to consume vegetation and fungi such as mushrooms.
