An average horse has the equivalent intelligence to a 5 to7 year old child. Particularly intelligent horses can 'score' higher.
1. add your horses personality, and intellegence (make sure your horse doesn't have any companions on because that will change your answer.) 2. go to the library and look up breeds, and then find your horses breed. once you find the horses breed, it will show you the maxed intellegence and personality of that breed. 3. add the maxed personality and intellegence of that breed like you did on your horse. 4. divide your horses uts (intellegence, and personality added) by the maxed of that breed. 5. you should come up with somthin like 0.6829475 and then round it. (eg. 0.6829475 = 69%uts)

Every age is a good age for a horse. But for certain work a horse is in his prime from 5 through 15. For young riders with little experience an older horse is the best bet.

You can age the horse with ageing points - click "age my horse" to the middle left of your horse's page and age him 2 months without waiting. Or, you can simply wait until the next day when the horse will have aged naturally.
A person can own a horse at any age as long as they are responsible and can care for the animal accordingly.
