The Okapi meets these criteria.
The Okapi looks part zebra and part giraffe. =] See? Isn't that wild?
It is a mammal in the giraffe family that has legs that resemble those of a zebra. It is also known as a forest giraffe or a zebra giraffe. Four legs each, two front legs with one on the left and one on the right and two in the rear, configured in the same manner.
Well they are kind of a mix between a giraffe and a zebra. They have long necks, not as long as a giraffe though. Their legs have a zebra-like pattern on them as well.
The okapi is a distant relative of the zebra and horse, sharing a common ancestor. It has a similar body shape to a horse but features stripes on its hind legs reminiscent of zebras. Despite these physical differences, genetic studies have shown their evolutionary connection.
Animals with stripes include zebras and tigers. A skunk is also an animal that has only one stripe. One species of hyena has both stripes and dark spots on its body.
A giraffe has the strongest kick of the two, capable of delivering a powerful blow with its long legs and large body weight. While zebras can also kick fiercely and use their hind legs for defense, a giraffe's size and strength give it a more formidable kick. In terms of sheer force, a giraffe's kick can be lethal to predators.
A cross between a male zebra and a female horse is called a zorse. An okapi has stripes somewhat like a zebra's but is not related to zebras nor is it related to horses. Its nearest relative is the giraffe.
A giraffe
An okapi is a short-necked relative of the giraffe which looks much like a horse and has boldly striped legs like zebras (perhaps so the young ones can see their parents more easily). They have long tongues like giraffes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is also a type of Knife.
Okapis are a mix of a horse and a zebra, but they probably wouldn't appreciate being called that at a party. They are actually the only living relative of the giraffe, so they have some serious family tree drama going on. So, next time you see an okapi, just remember they're not just a funky horse-zebra hybrid, they're part of the majestic giraffe clan.
There are a great many animals with more than two legs and a backbone, here are a few examples, cat, dog, cow, goat, pig, horse, zebra, giraffe, elephant, mouse.
