Usually with brachycephalia, or "short skull". Dogs with very short snouts such as Pugs, English bulldogs and Pekingese usually have breathing problems and overheat quicker than other dogs because of this.
Since pugs have such a short snout they have a myriad of breathing issues not the least of which is shortness of breath. The pug bread also has a lot skin problems.
