We've tried everything before finally finding the solution. We tried cleaning their dog house and play areas daily, setting up fly traps, dressing the wounds and spraying liquid band-aid on their ears, even tried applying desitin cream per some websites. Nothing really worked until a church member told us they had the same problem and nothing else worked except K9 Advantix!!
Our dogs were already on Frontline but out of desperation, we bought some K9 Advantix and applied them (our dogs were large dogs. If yours are smaller, check with your vet first before double-dosing). IT WORKED!!! NOT ONLY DID K9 ADVANTIX STOP THE FLIES FROM BITING, IT SEEMED TO HAVE REPELLED THEM AND SOON, WE WEREN'T SEEING ANY FLIES NEAR OUR DOGS' PLAY AREAS!!! Their wound healed within a couple of weeks (with some minor dressing) and their soft ears returned good as new!!!! If you are doubtful, read the below label from the product website: http://k9advantix.petparents.com/howItWorks.cfm. Other similar pet meds DO NOT claim to remedy biting flies. ONLY K-9 Advantix does.
Stops fleas from biting.
K9 Advantix offers proven protection against fleas in multiple stages of development. Imidacloprid, an active ingredient in K9 Advantix, stops biting fleas within three to five minutes and kills them before they lay eggs.2 K9 Advantix also kills flea larvae preventing them from developing into adult fleas, breaking the flea lifecycle in multiple stages.
yes they do
Ultrasonic repellents are generally safe for dogs, but their effectiveness in deterring unwanted behavior varies. Some dogs may be unaffected by the sound, while others may be deterred. It is important to consider individual dog's sensitivity to sound and consult with a veterinarian before using ultrasonic repellents.
Ultrasonic mouse repellents emit high-frequency sound waves that are unpleasant for mice but generally safe for dogs. However, some dogs may be sensitive to the sound and experience discomfort or anxiety. It is important to monitor your dog's behavior when using ultrasonic mouse repellents and discontinue use if any negative effects are observed.

No, it is not safe to spray DEET on dogs to protect them from insects. DEET can be toxic to dogs and may cause adverse reactions. It is best to use pet-safe insect repellents specifically designed for dogs.
Milkweed is toxic but I don't know of any dogs that were interested in eating it.
Would you like to be bothered while you were eating? No they don't like to be bothered. They're not as aggressive as dogs while they're eating but they still don't like it. Hope this was helpful :)
DEET can be harmful to dogs if ingested or applied in high concentrations. It is best to avoid using DEET products on dogs and opt for pet-safe insect repellents instead.
he didn't like the way they smelled
