When they hump you, it means that they are dominating you. They want to let you know that they are in charge. They are disrespecting you. But if is having sex with another dog, and humps, then that means she/he is sexually exited. If your dog humps you again, don't let her/him. If you do....then it will get used to being in charge, and he/she will stop listening to you and your demands.

Dogs often hump things when they are sexually active but with no bitch. Testosterone charged dogs can have a tendency to be more aggressive so unless you are planning to have pups, I would suggest neutering your dog and this should stop the humping.

Female dogs can hump as well and both female/male dogs can still hump a little after being spayed or neutered. It's normal and part of nature, but certainly embarrassing if you have guests over and the dog must be trained to stop. You can slap your hand on the rug beside the dog and say "NO" sharply.

Mounting is not necessarily about sex when it comes to dogs. In most cases (neutered males and females) this behaviour is linked to hormonal influences still present within brain chemistry. It is very common and is within the normal range of behaviour for a male and sometimes female dog.
