A wolf is loyal to the pack, and would do anything to protect the cubs. A wolf would run a mile from a human, especially one with fire. Wolves constantly test the limits of their hierarchy, unlike dogs, and are untrainable. A polite greeting with a superior consists of less than a second of eye contact before looking away, standing firm with fur fluffed up less than the leader's and tail slightly lower. When a pack howls, sometimes (if they have cubs) they face in different directions to make them harder to find. Wolves don't like water(to swim in etc. They do drink it!) much. When the pack hunts, they leave one wolf behind to guard the pups. To heighten their position in the pack, a wolf will try to grab the muzzle of the wolf one place above and pin it to the ground until the other wolf shows signs of submission (whining, wagging tail, rolling onto back etc.). The loser will then 'apologise' for resisting by crouching low, wagging the tail and licking the muzzle of the other wolf. I could go on, but there's just too much-it's such a vague question!
It depends on what the wolf's personality is like. Some are nice and don't want any trouble, others are bloodthirsty and vicious, and some are very protective.
