What are words that describe hyenas?

It depends on what kind of Hyena you want to describe because all breeds of Hyena look different.

My favorite are the spotted Hyenas and I would describe them like this

They have Big round ears and most of their body is covered in spots. They are 28-30 inches tall and most of the are skinny in the legs. They have a slanting back a dog like nose.

The Hyena is a mammalian family of order Carnivores. The Hyena's family, native to both African and Asian continents, consists of four living species, the Striped Hyena, Brown Hyena ,the Spotted Hyena, and the Aardwolf.
