What can you give a dog for upset stomach?

In general, unless there are other symptoms of illness, you should just ride out the episodes. You can talk with your veterinarian to see if you should gradually change to a more bland diet or change your feeding habits.

If your dog is just regurgitating kibble (the mess on the floor looks like soggy chewed-up kibble bits), you can try feeding smaller portions more often (ie, 2 cups every 12 hours rather than 4 cups every 24 hours). However, if the problem persists, gets worse or your dog shows other signs of being ill, you should talk to your veterinarian.

For the most part, you shouldn't give him anything. Let your dog work through it and keep an eye on him for any signs of trouble (vomiting yellow foam, no bowel movements, bloating abdomen, pale gums, extreme lethargy). Human medications can be very dangerous for dogs, and often you won't know what is causing your dog to have an upset stomach.

If the dog doesn't get better in the next 24 hours or shows any of the trouble signs, take him to a veterinarian for an examination. If possible, snap a few pictures of the vomit on your phone as well - this will help the veterinarian understand what is going on.

call your local vet if it is seriouse if it is minor have your dog lay down and give it plenty of water and no human food at all and if it pukes make sure to clean up the mess call the vet and wipe up all the puke with a wet worm paper towel if your dog puked on its self do not give it a bath wipe with worm water gently and wrap in a towel then drive to the vet

I usually put a hot water bottle or heat pad onto her aching belly, give her a bowl of warm milk and keep her warm so she can sleep it off. Chicken broth (not too hot) helps ease the belly aches, too. x

Grass often helps with upset stomachs for dogs! also milk if its not a hot day!
