Chimps and Bonobos, who comprise the scientific genus Pan, have very black fur. Their faces range in color from peach to peppered to black. Chimps are born with light colored skin that progressively gets darker as they age. Bonobos, on the other, are born with black faces. Their lips are a reddish color, almost like they are wearing lipstick.
