Wild boars will eat mice, voles, moles, grubs and various insects, carrion, lizards, snakes, turtles, and will even cannibalize on their own young. In times of plentiful vegetation, most wild pigs will not be hunting for meat, but rather be scrounging around for roots, shoots and tubers, eat nuts, berries, plants, and fungi. But when there's not enough vegetation nor insects to go around, they will eat meat, which means eating other animals.
