What do gerbils eat?

Well They just eat normal Gerbil food from the pet store. I'm not sure this is for all gerbils but mine eat lettuce and cheerios.my gerbils are obsessed with wild bird seed and I've checked its OK for them to eat so that's a great treat. they like most veg (but don't give them rhubarb, tomato or potato because that's bad for them) and a few bits of plain cereal! gerbils love to eat mixed food like penuts&sunflower seeds. gerbils love to eat fruit&vegetables do not let gerbils eat citrus fruit like lemons,orange, pineapple and limes.they love to eat treats like yoghurt drops.

Gerbils are omnivores and can eat small insects such as crickets and larva.

Gerbils eat dried food such as oats, some nuts, and dried peas amongst other things found in Gerbil food. Sunflower and Pumpkin seeds are often given as treats.

My gerbil really likes to eat sunflower seeds, they also like peanuts.
