Ligers look like baby tigers when born but turn paler as they get older. They keep the stripes throughout their lifetime but they also get paler and almost fade eventually. They are the size of half a baby tiger when born but grow extremely fast. When older, males grow a mane and females look like long, pale lionesses with fading stripes.
