If your poodle is a puppy then this might help, it is copied from a book:
"Puppies grow quickly and need 2 and a half times more calories per unit of bodyweight than mature dogs. It's important to give your pup the right food in the correct amounts his tummy is small, so divide his food into small feeds given several times a day.
Your puppy's breeder or vet should give you a diet sheet that covers what food to give, how much, and when. Stick to this for as long as is recommended to avoid your new puppy suffering a digestive upset. He will also need a constant supply of fresh water.
Proprietary brands of puppy food are easy to feed and contain all the nutrients your pet needs some large and giant breeds like Great Danes, need special diets to ensure they don't grow too fast, so some types of puppy food may not be suitable-check with the vvet. Generally, howevere, if you choose a brand name contain minimal artificial ingredients (particularly colorings) you won't go wrong."
If your poodle is an adult select food that will be aproparte for the size of a poodle and follow the guide lines above.
You can also make home food but it is important to get the proporions right so it is best to talk to your vet about it.
Hope this helps
Standard poodles will eat most things. It depends on what he or she prefers, just like humans have their own tastes in foods, so do poodles.
Poodles were pretty good ratters and would eat what they caught and killed.
Poodles are very active and love to run, jump and play all day. Poodles love to play in the water and eat ice chips. They love to play in the snow and eat it.
Poodles like and can eat a few pieces of; carrot, green beans, potato, lettuce, squash. No, peas, they have too much sugar. No, cauliflower or gas forming veggies.
