They eat, if they have something to eat.

Rabbits are individuals just like humans. When two female humans meet, what do they do? The answer, of course, is that they do different things depending on their personalities, prejudices, and interests. So it is with rabbits. Two female rabbits meeting for the first time might:

  • ignore each other, or
  • sniff noses initially, but otherwise go off to do their own things, or
  • become immediate best buddies, or
  • like each other okay, but spend a little while establishing dominance (you might see a bit of chasing, a big of mounting/humping, etc.), or
  • hate each other and try to fight (in which case you must separate them! NEVER LET RABBITS FIGHT. Even a tiny bite or skin tear can lead to serious infection and abscess.)
