Wild dolphins, like most other wild animals, mostly perform actions out of necessity, either for food, reproducing, or staying out of danger. This means that much of a wild dolphin's day will consist of hunting for food, dodging predators, attempting to attract mates, and migrating to breeding grounds. Dolphins have, however, have been recorded to play, and may choose to do so at random.
