The best thing you can do is stand and face the dog, with your shoulders broad and your chest stuck out forwards, looking at the head of the dog, but not glaring. Standing your ground will deter the dog. Don't lunge towards it, or make any sudden movements in its direction as it may take this as aggression, and attack back.
