When a dog is having a puppies you want to make sure she is in a quiet dark place (e.g. closet, laundry room) wherever is dark in you house. You also want to make sure they are comfterable make sure the towels/blankets that you use are ones that you are not attached too (they will probably get blood on them when she is giving birth). Put the towels/blankets in a cardboard box big enough for the dog. If you have a big dog (e.g. Irish Wolfhound, Great Dane), you will want to cover all the the floor around her with towels because they won't fit in a cardboard box, lol. Another good idea is a kiddie pool (you know one of those plastic ones). That way when they give birth the puppies can't get out but the Mom can easily come in and out as she pleases. Now for preperation, the days following up to when you think shes going to have birth make sure that you have everything ready (e.g. towels on floor), And when they are giving birth you want a phone beside you and your dogs Vetrinary Phone Number in case anything goes wrong. And when you think shes going to give birth DO NOT PICK HER UP!! Don't pick her up but suggest to her by giving her tiny pats to come this way towards the cardboard box/kiddie pool/toweled floor area. Once she is lying down stay with her the whole time let her lick her puppies when they are coming out this will clean off the puppies and she will lead them towards her nipples to feed if you think anything is going wrong at all call the Vet! Then after that you will have to see what happens!
Because if your dog doesn't get spayed he or she will make babies and what if the babies when they are grown up have other babies? And more babies so its really that good to make your dog spayed or they might have MORE babies
If either dog is fixed, no, they can't have babies.
