No. Use a mens syptic pencil they use for shaving cuts, if this does not work when applied to nail, take the pencil and shave some off to make a powder and dip nail in it. Old fashioned remedy, dip nail in flour, it bleeding does not stop go to the vet.

There is no harm in putting a tampon in your mouth to stop your gum from bleeding. If you're bleeding that much, an early appointment with your dentist would be wise.

Seriosly... why would u ever do that????? You would do this if your dog has a split/cracked toenail or have been cut to short to expose the quick. Yes you can use superglue to mend the nail together or stop the bleeding. They do make specific styptic gel for this purpose as well. If you have cut the quick, or trim your dog's nails regularly, it's best to have this on hand. If your dog's nail is cracked, super glue it together to mend it.
